westeros is actually britain, ireland, scotland, spain, and france all twisted a little

the dornish are spanish, the highgardens are france/italy, kings landing and lannisport is england, and the north is ireland/scotland(loosely)

sothyoros is africa and east of the narrow sea where dany is the middle east and based loosely on persian and oriental cultures

i'm not sure but i think braavos may be based on greece or the culture before the greeks

Just finished watchin the finale, watch episodes 1-9 while I was in Jersey 2 weeks ago. Most excellent... Damn I didnt want to get hooked into another show, but GoT got me hooked, cant wait for next spring... After football, of course...
