Carolina- Legitimate Contender

After the Nation has had the chance to see Carolina beat the numero cuatros defense in the league, people can see that they are as good as their record shows: 10-3. The team, even when faced by adversity the team has come back a number of times late in games. And like last night at Monday Night Foozball, when the air game was not working well (not up to super bowl/playoff standards) the team went back to what they do best-running the ball. Also, both RBs are getting better statistically as the season goes on, and lets not forget that Jake Delhomme has a 93.8 passer rating in the playoffs. That is a significant jump in rating from what has in the reg. season: 84. Carolina's Defense has made big plays when they were needed for the most part throughout the season as well. So all-in-all does Carolina have a chance of making this THEE year to win the superbowl??

Congratulations! It seems you have recently discovered the internet. It can be a large and overwhelming place sometimes, but just stick with it and you'll get the hang of it.

I suggest starting here:

    • It’s summer league, so take it with a grain of salt. But have to admit the team has played really well and been fun to watch. Agreed, take what we can get.
    • There are a very few number of legitimate NFL level QB's on this planet. I'm not saying he is not capable of being a backup still given that very limited number. All I'm saying is some people can choose to look at the reality glass half full or glass half empty. I'm relatively trying to remain near the middle. I do appreciate that he has experience with which he can pass on to Bryce. But I think his resume is being put on a level that does not line up. It's interesting you mentioned Flacco. I'd take him mentoring the Panthers starting QB in a heartbeat. At least Joe has won in the playoffs. And won a Super Bowl to boot. He might have only had success largely in that season but man what a run he led that offense on. I can respect that. I'm not saying I don't like or respect Andy. I do like him. And he's a ginger. But as a local fan who has seen losing losing losing mediocrity and a few very short lived seasons of potential greatness. Give me any ounce of greatness every time. Then we can hang our hat on mentoring at some level. That's my position and all I'm trying to convey. Thanks for the chat.
