everyone is excited for the #1 Pick but Im actually kinda worried because if we do get newton what if it is one of the biggest bust we ever had.If I was Marty Hurney I would grab a veteran like Mcnabb<IDK his name >and than picking someone like A.J Green because also we have the #1 Hardes schedule in the league and chances are that we will be in the top 10 so would you get newton or wait one more year give clausen a 1 more chance with aj green or mcnabb...because if we do get Top 5 next year we could grab someone like that matt barkley from USC or get Andrew Luck ...What Do you all think?:confused:

Are you serious? No Mcnabb, he lost his job to Rex Grossman. The veteran options out there are awful. Besides nobody has any clue when we'll have a CBA again.

If we're dumb enough to get a washed up qb on a lease, I'd rather just keep Moore and draft a qb.

08NFCChamps I know you have a point but its really risky while if we draft a Wr then we have more weapons for a good QB but also he is a beast so Idk I think we are gonna get him and I hope he does his best with all this critism he has gotten

IMO Mcnabb is the best possible free agent. if the redskins cant find any other options they might keep him. I agree with everything else. I would be fine with Moore as the starter until he fugs up bad enough to bring in Cam(if we pick him) or Clausen. I'd rather see the Moore of 2009 than any other free agent that's out there right now.

Personally, I'm comfortable with Gettis and LaFell as our rising stars, with one of them having the potential to be the future #1 wr.

Selecting a qb is always a risk. Sometimes a franchise down in the dumps has to take the risk, at least aim for a franchise qb and try to get better at the position, rather than ignore it altogether because it's not the "safest" pick.

Don't get me wrong though, If we select Green, I'll be cheering for him just as I would anyone else we select.

    • It's rare enough for a running back to tear the same ACL twice. There's not much of a sample size on the recoveries. And of course Dobbins has missed a lot of time--he was injured twice. That number will drop as his career continues, and even if it doesn't, that doesn't necessarily mean it has anything to do with the prior injuries. Dobbins just started and played well for a playoff team all year until he was injured by a hip-drop tackle. Surely his ACL recoveries didn't contribute to his completely random foot injury caused by an illegal tackle? Again, I'm confused why everyone is being so definitive that there's 'very little chance' of any meaningful contribution ever when the greatest counterpoint ever played for us. Thomas Davis tore the same knee over and over again and was basically fine. As for the roster-building stuff, we'll see what happens with Chuba and Dowdle at the end of the year, but Etienne's not going to factor into this. Either Brooks comes back, in which case we've already seen more from him than we have from Etienne, or he doesn't. But Etienne's not forcing him off the team. If anything, Etienne's current role is his absolute floor.
    • Then I would assume disingenuous. Why on earth would you consider this an "exciting" time to be a Panthers fan? Let me ask this, how old are you and how long have you been an NFL fan?
    • An ESPN writer had a good breakdown of teams that were likely to come back to earth(KC and Redskins were two of them) based on outlier results in 2024 in close games. I think that has a lot to do with it. Found it: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46003861/nfl-teams-likely-decline-lose-more-games-2025-season-predictions-vikings-chiefs-commanders-lions-colts
