Canon or Boling?

I would love to see this offensive line next year protecting Cam Newton

(LT) Jordan Gross, (LG) Travelle Wharton, © Ryan Kalil, (RG) Clint Boling, (RT) Jeff Otah

Back Up's

LG- Duke Robinson (Might not make the team)

LG- C.J. Davis

LT- Garry Williams (Might not make the team, he is kind of small)

LT- Jacob Bender

RT- Geoff Schwartz

RG- Mackenzy Bernadeau

That would be one of the best offensive line's in my opinion along with one of the best's reserve squads in the NFL. I don't think we would need to sign anymore linemen if we just add Clint Boling.

Cannon is the better prospect, but he has cancer. Boling is a finesse pass blocker.. does not fit our scheme.

Edmund Gates will be 26 years old at the start of the season.. I doubt we take him this high.

Davon House is clearly the choice in my mind.

Need a backup RT that can pass protect the edge better than Schwartz and run block better than Williams. Schwartz did fine at RG.

I like Canon in the 6th or 7th. Non-Hodgskins lymphoma has a high recoverability %. It would be like trading that pick this year for a 2nd or 3rd next year if it works out.

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
