Cam's Jersey Number

Tutto

Recommended Posts

Cam should just go ahead and pick a # instead of trying to pry it away from Jimmy, the media is already swarming him and they are setting him up for failure. I think it would just make him looks incredibly cocky if he took #2 from Jimmy, he should just choose 5 or something else so I can get my jersey!

I think he feels that he will buy #2 from Clausen. Clausen was #7 in college, I think, and #2 did not work out well for him. Still, if I am Jimmy, no way I am selling the # to Cam. We have #5 and #6 available, but nobody knows yet.

You're kidding, right? I'd sell it, but I'd make him pay good money for it.

Hey,

Normally I wait to see if draft picks pan out before buying a jersey, but I can't this time lol.

What will his number be? I thought when they introduce players, generally they have the jersey with their future number on it. I didnt think anyone was allowed #1?

Has Cam chosen? I dont wanna buy a jersey because they ones they are selling are the regular #1 jerseys that all first rounders get.

See I want to get a Cam jersey too, but I think I will wait until Nike starts making the Jerseys in 2012. I don't want to buy 2 $100 jerseys, maybe I will just save my cash and if he is any good just shell out $300 for an authentic Cam nike Jersey in 2012!

If you think any veteran - even one with only a year behind him - is gonna "be humble" for a rookie, my guess is you haven't been in a football locker room.

These guys generally don't give up anything easily. Nor should they.

Here's what is going to happen, and it stinks for all of us who are gonna run out and buy Cam's new swag, he will go with a # bc Jimmy is a cocky kid who won't do the right thing and give it up to the star. Then Cam is gonna have only a so so season, Claussen will be cut or traded an Cam will immediately switch to #2 when that happens making everything we bought obsolete. Organization will be fine with it--more sales.I wish Claussen was never born or brought here... Ugh

I wish you were never born or joined here... Ugh

You are not a Carolina Panther fan, you're a Cam Newton fan. Please leave.

Seriously? What has Clausen done to still be that cocky?

Jimmy should actually be humble and hope he isn't traded by seasons end

He's not a rookie...

Could you imagine the hell he would get from the outsiders looking in and our very own locker room if a Rookie (no matter his status) takes his spot AND # he would never live that down. Clausen might be a bust or career backup but damn as a man with pride I can respect seeing someone show pride rather than bow out.

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
