Undrafted Free Agents

Recommended Posts

Being a huge UNC fan I'd love to see us bring in Kendric Burney, Deunta Williams, Shaun Draughn and Zack Pianalto. I know that's not going to happen but we should be able to land some talented players.

Williams and Burney sure...but Draughn...heavens no. He runs right into defenders thinking he's Jerome Bettis.

for my two teams that i like (panthers and Redskins). first i will do Carolina.

Noel Devine, CJ Gable and Emmanuel Moody should ALL get looks even if they arent needs. then there are recievers i like. my favorite one is Dane Sanzinbacher, i want either Washington or Carolina to scoop him up when they can. Another one Carolina should look into is Terrance Toliver, LaFell's former teammate who i liked better than LaFell at one time. Jeff Maehl and of course Darvin Adams (dont know him, look him up and you will see why i said his name) and of course Tori Gurley the former gamecock. we should also look into a former Gamecock tight end in Weslye Saunders. on defense Ian Williams is worth a look and so is DeAndre McDaniel and Will Hill.

For Washington, i think all the running backs i mentioned earlier should be looked into and of course Dane Sanzinbacher and i wouldnt mind Gurley either, though i would LOVE to see Sanzinbacher most, but the one name i want Washington to sign when they can sign unrestricted free agents is Mitch Mustain. the former USC backup who i think could surprise.

OL:

-There are a several developmental C/G's left, Ryan Bartholomew, Syracuse and possibly Justin Boren, Ohio State.

DL:

-DE, Pierre Allen (strong side), Nebraska.

-DTs Cedric Thornton, Southern Arkansas and Martin Parker, Richmond.

-All have the tools to develop into very good rotational player in 1-3 years, need technique work.

DBs:

-Maybe CB Ryan Jones, NW Missouri State? 5-11, 198, 4.48, 40 vert. 6 int, 13 pbu, 56 tackles last year alone. The bad news? It was in Division II. He was at the Texas vs Nation (or whatever it's called this year) game so I know the scouts got a good long look. He was projected as a late rounder by a couple of sites. My question: Is the reason he wasn't drafted fixable?

I really like Jeff Maehl. He's all about production.

^ These.

P.S. I use to live across the street from Draughn & we played against each other in HS.

Im a UNC fan and very biased, but Im surprised Deunta Williams didnt get drafted either. I know his injury scared off people, but this guy was VERY good at UNC and Ive always looked at him like a pro bowl caliber safety.

    • I’m pretty sure we did end up getting the first in that drive, but I don’t remember. It was obviously a catch the ball didn’t move
    • While I don't think NFL games are fully rigged, it's certainly closer to a scripted outcome than we all think. The NFL by their own admission in court is not a fair and balanced sporting event. It is a managed entertainment product, a "spectacle" as they've put it, that now has sports betting as a huge financial pillar of their business model. It's ridicuously naive to still think the NFL isn't using referees to manage the games towards certain outcomes, using "replays in the booth" and overturning calls, choosing to overlook penalties at critical moments and calling questionable and sometimes phantom game changing penalties at other critical junctures of games. The NFL has always done this going as far back as the '60s, and they were investigated by the FBI in the '70s which found a large number of ownership groups had ties to the mob. So when the overwhelming majority of the moneyline bets were on the Panthers vs the Saints last week, and suddenly we see some strange and ticky tack penalties we've rarely seen called on the Panthers all year, I just know there's more going on behind the scenes. And suddenly next week, the Panthers will probably be nudged to a win, to keep the NFC South race interesting, as I see the Bucs are the favorite as of now and most moneyline bets will trend towards the Bucs until during the game when the Bucs are leading heading into the 4th quarter, and the Panthers are nudged to a win. At least, that's what the NFL and Vegas probably want to happen.
    • Taylor Moton also slipped and missed his block entirely  The oline”s performance was less than stellar in the 4th qtr
