Does Newton get it?

Cam is so confident I don't think he gives a poo if anyone in the media has criticisms of him. Pretty sure that any criticism from our coaches will matter, though.

Directly to your question, I think he understands some of why people think his offense was simple but it's clear he thinks they are wrong. He hears terms like "one read and run" and he gets offended because he feels he did more than that.

I will be here no matter what, so you might as well hope we keep Moore so we have at least 1 decent QB on the roster even though I think he's 100% gone (his choice)

at least the new Panthers fans from Auburn are following a winner.

around the same time as your join date i'm guessing;)

You weren't around then to know?

If you are talking about his rookie year games, those were in December 2007.

If you are talking about his 3rd year games, those were in December 2009-Jan 2010.

Either way, they are nowhere near my join date. I joined after a year of him not seeing the field so therefor it must be because of Matt Moore!

Its not that it feels that way its because it was that way. Since when do people believe what outsiders say about a coaches offensive scheme more than the coach and the QB that actually know the offensive scheme. Maybe Alabama and Stanford should dumb down there playbooks so they can go undefeated and win the championship:cam:

I honestly thinks he gets it based on what i heard from the Mike & Mike interview.

I think he and the coaches at Auburn are a little bit peeved at everyone slamming them so badly about the offense. They have a bit of a point in that, if the offense was so extremely simple, how did they go undefeated and win a national championship? With all the other talent out there no one could stop them, so how simple could the offense be?

That being said I don't think I've heard Cam even suggest that the offensive schemes in the NFL will not be grossly more complicated and that he has a lot to learn.

TRD, I rarely post but I read a lot of the posts on this board and let me tell you this, you should change your name from TRD (The Real Deal) to TRH (The Real Hater). I believe people will at least attempt to listen to what you have to say.

Just my two cents.

Look at all that Panther/Moore knowledge. Tell me more about your favorite QB. I bet your first post were about him getting on the field

So you think Cam understands the criticism and you think the people who actually talked to him about it are just hating and you have no bias in this whatsoever?

Is he just that bad at speaking that no one ever understands what he's trying to say?

I don't know. Everyone seems to understand what he is saying except you. Maybe you are bad at hearing comprehension and that is why you come here for guidance.

Otherwise do you need to start a thread to determine you pre-existing belief that Cam doesn't get it.

The way I read your title you are asking a question. People give their answers and then you get butthurt.

You are like a girl that sees Megan Fox on TV and turns to her boyfriend and asks "Is she prettier than me?" She already knows the answer to the questions but still gets upset when all you can do is laugh at her.

Golic, Wingo, and McShay didn't think he got it either.

Seems if you are a Camther fan, you think he obviously gets it.

If you aren't, you have questions about whether he gets it or not.

you had it bookmarked, impressive

Obviously. I mean there is no other way I could come to that site unless it was bookmarked.

If only there were some sort of website that would allow me to search for other websites in a short amount of time...

Look like you have it pretty much pegged. Did you need you need to start a thread to figure that out?

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
