Beason's civil trial starts today

Beason is a great football player......lets not act like we know the guy on that level.

I mean, Marvin Harrison appeared to be as nice as it get in the NFL. He was probably textbook definition of a nice guy.......and if given the chance he would probably kill you and everyone you care about if you rub him the wrong way. He keeps it real.

Actually, not even close. Zod knows Beas on a personal/professional level, and has attested to him being the guy we think he is - fairly humble, cool, down-to-earth, etc. As for Marvin Harrison, you might want to check up on that again - don't mistake being quiet for being kind. He had a horrible reputation with the media for being an A-hole and standoff-ish. I also remember some big fiasco over an autograph signing with a kid, or some thing he backed out on a charity because he wasn't required to do it, something like that.... Many suspected he wasn't a very nice guy for awhile, the thing in Philly just put the icing on the cake.

Beason is the complete opposite of that. Harrison didn't do even half of the cool/nice things Beas has in his entire career in Indy... And Beas is only a few years in.

I hope his lawyers annihilated that douche in court.

from what I heard Frye was at Uptown Cabaret, started telling people he was a tight end for the Panthers, then wasn't too happy when he drunkenly went up to Jon Beason who of course had no idea who he was.

A few hours later he was still at this bar for some reason, and when he saw Beason walking out he followed him calling him a dumb ****** and talking about the time he did cocaine.

Then some random ass black dude just laid him out.

When he came to he made up a story about Beason.

I actually believe that story, it definitely meshes with everything we know about that douche Frye telling people he plays for the Panthers. I wouldn't be surprised if that "random ass black dude" was part of Beasons security team though.

And there you have it... All the dots connected.

Now the coke, racial slur, drunkenness, and getting "knocked the f out" all make sense.

but apparently no one even knows the guy that punched him.

He was just like "who you calling ******?" BAM and then walked out like nothing had happened. Everyone was just "oh poo" and started laughing.

Also, makes a lot more sense in Beas' feelings towards the whole thing... He had nothing to worry about, because he literally DID NOTHING. If a member of your entourage knocks someone out on their own volition, then you had nothing to do with it.

This is why so many players have an entourage, the guys are willing to do whatever - run errands, makeshift security, etc., will take the consequences for it, and you just take care of them.

Sounds like Frye was just bitter about getting pwnd and filed a suit hoping someone would believe Beason did it. A true douche at work. So much for free drink mafia, eh?

EDIT: After Fiz's last post, if it was indeed just a random dude that got tired of his sh*t, Beas still had nothing to worry about and that is even more hilarious. More power to that guy.

 31 years old and still getting arrested for driving drunk, bout time to grow up swoll tucks. I don't see how Beason cant lose. Frye is no model citizen. He is still a big fug so I'm in no hurry to run up and talk poo to him on the street or anything.

The version I've heard before the whole mess started is that Frye was doing his I'm a panther, I just signed here this week routine at some other bar earlier in the night to impress some girls. One of the girls he was chatting up was hanging out in a group of friends with Dante Rosario at the same bar and had never heard of Frye, so she had Frye come over to their table. She didn't tell Frye that Rosario played for the Panthers, and Frye had no idea who he was so he continued to tell his stories. Strangely enough, Rosario didn't say anything the whole time about Frye not being a Panther. Apparently Rosario got a call from Beason who said he was hanging out at Uptown Cabaret and Frye decided to further his coolness by claiming that Beason is crazy and was doing coke in Lake Norman. When they all went to Uptown, Rosario told Beason what Frye said and that's when the confrontation happened.

Regardless if Jon won or not, he should know better than to be hanging around strip clubs late at night. Nothing good happens at strip clubs late at night, especially if you are famous.

Except all the naked girls.

Seriously what are you talking about? I think I'd be more worried if he was going to strip clubs in the middle of the day. Because that would be f'in weird.

TBH this sounds about right. It would explain why Beason was cleared of charges and why he is counter suing him.

    • I personally think you are trying to talk yourself into circles here... It's ok to say Bryce played incredible the last 5 weeks... I know there are plenty of people on this board who desperately need the doom-and-gloom narrative, but I genuinely question how much NFL QB play some of these people really have watched when they still question him being the unquestioned starter for next year...  Again, that being said, no one is crowning him at all. I think Bryce is one of the best stories going into 2025 bc his season last year was so outlandishly unprecedented. It's totally fair to personally not believe in Bryce. Plenty of sports "journalists" need to write stories, and that's an easy narrative path... But I think that actual people in the know rank Bryce much higher. That's the fun thing about sports... we shall see!
    • Regardless of how we got here, any rational fan should be excited by how well Bryce played down the stretch. Anyone not happy about that level of play either doesn't know what they're looking at, or they're still trying to drive tired narratives. Obviously, Cam had an all-time rookie season, and I'm not putting the two in the same basket yet, but as someone who has watched every snap of Panthers football since the start of the new millennium (Im old), Bryce was playing at a higher level at the end of 2024 than Cam was at the end of 2012 (his 2nd season). Cam continued to develop into MVP form, something Bryce has to prove, but as someone who watched both (and will stan for Cam always), Bryce was playing at a higher level to end year 2 than Cam did.  Go watch the film if you dont believe me. None of that means anything for the future. But the people who said BY9 couldnt play in this league are wrong.   That being said, the only thing that matters is this year. #20 is perfectly fair IMO going into the season. I mean think about it, how would you rank him??!  His in-season turnaround is one of the wildest things I've ever seen... how do you rank a guy who looked like a massive bust in September and by January was consistently playing at a top 10 level? My excitement level is pretty damn high heading into this season. There were throws from the Chiefs game onward where Bryce had Drew Brees levels of anticipation. Im excited to see what he can do with a full deck on offense, something we really never gave Cam. Really hope and expect Bryce to move up this list this season.
    • Not really, the only QB's (other than Anthony Richardson) ranked below him are new to their teams as a placeholder starter or drafted in 2024 or 2025, not a lot of gymnastics to get there. It's not about how many that is, if it's 20, 12, or 2... It means there isn't a QB who's team has committed to them for the long term right now that they have ranked below Bryce. That's not a great thing.
