Lastly, a little football nugget while the weeks continue to pass with no OTAs or minicamps:

Eric Norwood, who played linebacker and defensive end as a rookie, will play defensive end exclusively for Ron Rivera's staff. It's not a big change -- most of Norwood's game snaps last year came at DE -- but it does get Norwood back to his best position.

"At the end of the day, I'm a pass-rusher. That's who I am," said Norwood, South Carolina's all-time leader in sacks and tackles for loss.

He should be, the guy produced nothing last year.

Give his snaps to Norwood/Hardy and let's see what they can do.

I suspect Rivera is not sure about Brown and wants to see what else he's got on the roster at DE.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Hardy overtake Brown in TC, then it comes down to Brown/Norwood.

seen that on the observer, and you should play your guys at their strength. thats what good coaches do, put guys in position to do what they do best.

no big thing IMO, the coaches are just putting him where he fits the best & allowing him to do what he does best(chase after qb's). riveria has said he wants to have a deep rotation on the d line to keep guys fresh.we may see brown,norwood, & hardy play standing up at times to show teams a different look.
