New South Park

Excellent episode. I'm a bit of a cynic myself although I don't hate everything. I hate just about everything though. At least I can still appreciate Bob Dylan. As for LA Noire, I think all games made by Rockstar are poo :(.

now everything makes sense. ;)

I really don't know what to think about last night's episode...outside of the fact that it was extremely funny. As far as the ending, I have it narrowed down to two strong possibilities:

1. Matt and Trey really are sick of making South Park. They demand the best from themselves through their product, and for the last few seasons it hasn't been there. This was the end of the series.

2. This was a parody of season finale episodes; you know, where there is some big change (like House rams a car into Cuddy's house, then escapes to some tropical paradise, or Betty Draper reveals that she is pregnant but then drops the bomb that it might not be Dom's) and you have to wait 6 months before you find out what happens next. "Oh man, are they really going to do a show where Stan's parents are divorced and Kyle and Cartman are best friends?" If that's the case, when the show comes back in October, I'd expect a total reset: they've killed Kenny dozens of times, you think they can't reset a divorce?

It was kinda funny at first, I mean I get the joke and what they were aiming at. But, it got a little ridiculous towards the end..

Plus Stan's parents splitting is a pretty big deal for that show. Randy Marsh and Butters are by far my favorite characters.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
