Fug a Wal-Mart

I'm tired of their poo!

My kid worked her ass off & saved her money to buy a $200 pool. She picked one out at walmart and they were out and she was devastated with tears and all, so I said no biggie we can just order it online . I ordered it site to store the end of last month and was supposed to be here June 5th and it still isn't here. Every time the arrival date gets here I get a new email stating it's delayed in transit. The latest day it was supposed to be here was Saturday the 18th. It's supposedly been in Hope Mills, NC since June 12th, that is only 1 hour from my home. I've even told them I'd drive & pick it up from there but they said I couldn't because it's a distribution center.

I called walmart.com on Sat the 18th to find out what was going on, they told me the trucks don't drive on the weekend and it was on record that it would be delivered today, they did also give me a $20 credit for the trouble I've had. It's still not here and they still have not updated the tracking on it or sent me an email with a new delivery date.

I called my walmart a few minutes ago and asked what the deal is. They said they've had problems with so many people ordering pools and said they've all been delayed and are unsure when it would be in.

I've also learned they've already charged my credit card and we have no pool. At this rate summer is going to be over before she gets it.

Meanwhile I have a 10 year old kid that is heartbroken and I don't know what to do.

Amazon.

They have everything with better customer service than a Wal-Mart.

Yes, I know this but she couldn't afford the one on amazon. It cost $400 for the same pool.

I guess this is a lesson for her, I'm just not sure what it is just yet. Patience and tolerance maybe...

Wow, shocked. Usually Amazon is right there with their prices. Double for the same product is a shocker to me. I would have done the same thing you did.

Hate it for your little girl.

I smell a conspiracy here...

Why would someone out there be buying up all the pools?

hmmmmmmmmmm...

I know, I buy all kinds of crap from amazon for usually less than other places.

Why sell them if you don't have them in stock? :( Sucks.

They do that for a lot of stuff.

When I was looking for a tent for our trip, they had the kids tents on there and when I went to the store they weren't there.

I have a couple friends who have done the same thing and been told they needed to order online. Guess there are some things they only offer online? Idk.

Still ended up with the teeniest tent evar.

    • Why would we not be contenders? As long as Bryce plays like he did when he came back, we absolutely can be contenders...that is...   if the defense plays better... which is why adding someone like Ramsey when we have a QB on a rookie deal and can afford it makes sense IMO. No one thought of the Commanders being contenders last year or the Texans the year before and so on and so forth. Top-end QB play, especially for a guy on a rookie deal, changes everything in terms of timelines. Regardless of what this board thinks, I hope the front office is willing to he aggressive in thks window we currently have with a rookie QB deal
    • Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.
    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
