Went surfing yesterday...

Nice.

I learned (actually, 3 of us at the same time) on an 11 foot tanker AKA Frankie Avalon Board

As I went on, my favorite was a G&S 7' Swallow Tail but I always kept a 5' 6" Chuck Dent around for the small wave days.

Where I grew up, qwe had a south facing beach so the waves were always consistent (Kevin Greene can verify).

I sure do miss surfing...

i saw a guy out on an 11 footer one day. he caught EVERYTHING! i bought the midsize so it would be more versatile. our SE facing beach has a lot of small stuff, but can get big so with its mid length and good thickness, i should be set for whatever i see.

i had a pretty good time, but I'm going to start going in the mornings when its less crowded. even if the conditions aren't as good it will be better due to lack of people. seeing this bikini chic was the highlight of the last session. overall i was disappointed though. she was one of about 5 or 6 people to get right around me so I got out and moved down the beach a little. then some little kids got right in front of me, and i was afraid of hitting them.

heading out on dawn patrol in the morning. should be a good time with the sun just above the horizon. probably gonna do the same thing this coming thursday too. up at 5:30. in the water at 6:30. :)

    • thats fair.   I was beginning to think rookie punter was in the plans
    • Sam Martin   CARPunter#6 Panthers re-signed P Sam Martin to a two-year contract. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Martin’s deal is up to $5 million. Martin joined the Panthers last season on a one-year deal and wound up booting 56 punts for an average of 47.2 yards per punt. Martin is a 13-year vet of the league who has spent time with four different franchises. He landed a career-best 48.2 percent of his kicks inside his opponent’s 20-yard line last season.
    • Surprised CB is that low.  19th is odd spot. For many recent drafts, teams only felt there were around 14 first round players.  So to many 19 is just an early second and doesn't hold the value of a first.  If you go off- the smart path of LT, QB, edge, WR, CB, etc. Whatever your OG, Safety, ILB, etc needs to be a difference maker, that's the key point. I've said the 8th best edge is better than the 1st safety. Same for QB and even WRs. You should 100% factor in position value.  MHS you've been wanting a FS, let me tell you its super difficult to be a difference making FS. You're just sooo farrrr away from the action and the end result most times. If you're in the play, defense made mistakes in order. Now to talk out of both sides, maaaaaann that white boy from Oregon....I thought he crushed the combine and honestly that alone made me rethink "is he worth 19 now?!?!" he's now in the discussion for me, but still below others.    Plus I feel TE is vastly underrated in value terms. But looking at the last 20 years of TEs in the first, its down right bad. You're better like X10 better drafting one in 4th or 5th.
