Kerry Collins retired today

Recommended Posts

He was just a kid when he played in Carolina. He obviously made some poor decisions, but with help, he turned his life around. I got nothing but respect for a guy that admits his mistakes and works to correct them.

I'm with you. I don't have the hate that others do for him.

The panthers have had 4 winning seasons and Collins gave us one of those along with the greatest game ever played at our stadium.

And his story is he didn't ask to be graded only sit.

#11 all time passing yards. Damn didn't realize that.

He only needed 110 to pass Joe Montana.

That's entirely correct. I sorry he slighted you guy's that;s not right at all. He used to air the poo out of that ball when he played for us to Hilliard, Toomer, Tiki. Too bad he could not get past the Ravens in the Superbowl. Collins did throw the hell outa the ball thought against the Vikings in the NFC Champ game to beat them 41-0.

Thanks for the memmories Kerry!

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
