I noticed a few turds in the kitchen around the dishwasher last week. So I set a trap. Everyday I would look at the trap, not closely. Never went off. No biggie sometimes it takes a few days...

Yesterday I got up close to take a look and damn if the f**ker didn't get the cheese without triggering the trap!

I have one of those for chipmunks. I think one time I caught somebody's hamster that got loose.

I want to kill the mouse! It's in the house!!

Same problem here... Get a rat glue trap... (Make sure its for rats and not mouse, mouse glue is to weak) and put a piece of snicker bar in the middle of it... Come back in the morning and u will have a fresh beacon waiting for u.

I have a mouse phobia. They completely freak me out. I had a hard time even reading your post and my feet immediately went into my chair the moment i read your thread title. I know, it's completely irrational they just really gross me out. Good luck.

put more than one trap out. i've had the problem twice now. once in the house. i think they came in with the christmas tree that time. i always put out 4. sometimes they'd get the cheese without springing a trap, but it isn't likely to happen on all of them. the first night i got 3. the next i got 2. it took me 4 nights to not catch any.

the next time it was in the garage, and it only took 2 nights to not get a dead mouse.

edit: about the d-con...you never know where they are going back to. you could end up with dead mouse stench coming from your walls. that and my dogs is why i didn't go with that option. plus the old school mouse traps are so cheap!

Screaming at it, pointing at it and squirting it with Clorox doesn't work, it only makes them mad.

I have a story about a mouse...

My in-laws were cleaning out a house they own that some people recently moved out of. These people were the nasty of nasty. You've heard of people having roaches bad? Well these people had mice almost that bad, everything was infested with mice.

My MIL is afraid of mice and since it was her job to do most of the cleaning she was pretty afraid most of the time to go in there and would make her presence known by stomping around and yelling to scare the mice away. My FIL set traps and was catching about 10-15/day. He wanted to catch more so he got some of those glue rat traps and put those out. But as you know the mice only get stuck to those, it doesn't kill them. My MIL saw a mouse was stuck to one where she was trying to work and it was squeaking and chirping and trying to get away but it couldn't. So my MIL, as silly as she is, she tries to kill the mouse by squirting Clorox on it. This obviously just angered the mouse, Clorox doesn't kill mice. lol She ended up squirting the mouse so much that he was able to get his feet free and he ran off. But since he had been squirted with Clorox he must have been delirious or something because he just sat there running in circles around her. She screamed and screamed and my FIL came running in to see her still squirting this already soaking wet mouse with the clorox and pointing at it. He ended up stomping on the mouse. That poor mouse! So now when ever someone mentions killing a mouse we tell them screaming at it, pointing at it and squirting it with Clorox doesn't work, it only makes them mad.

i tried peanut butter and fruit, but cheese is what gets them every time. i used the cheapest shredded stuff i could find. i think it was food lion brand american or cheddar. take a couple of pieces and mash it into the plate so that they really have to work to get it. that all but eliminates the issue of them getting the cheese without triggering the trap. seriously mash it into the holes.

      They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.

      I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).

      It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
