Fred Lanes wife

Nemesis

Recommended Posts

I lived in Fred's neighborhood, he wasn't abusive, he ripped her necklace off one time, and she called the cops on him, her and her brother were trying to collect on that $5 million insurance policy.

Fred was a nice guy, he was a great father figure to her older son, which wasn't his, he was nice to her brother, John was a dick head, he was robbing banks since forever, Deidra was sticking it to the credit union getting money off of them, never should have happened.

Deidra is a monster, she should have gotten an identical sentence to her brothers.

Her brother got like a hundred years for bank robbery. Pretty amazing how our judicial system handles things.

There are an awful lot of women in battered women sheltersand a lot of women who get killed by their boyfriends and husbands when restraint orders are not enforced.

If that's being favored by the law, I suspect most women would choose to not be so favored.

In Diedre Lane's case, it is very sad that a bank robbery nets more than a manslaughter, but, money is money and a life's a life, and if the law favors anything its money. Go to Las Vegas, try to steal from a casino. Get caught. You will never see the light of day. Kill someone however, most likely 13 years, and time off for good behavior, out in 9-10.

Fred should have left her or she should've left him. We all know these stories and they never end well. No one should die because of a freaking relationship, male or female.

As I remember...there was some evidence of domestic violence on his part. He had some probs....or would not have been traded....

But...she had some problems too. She was a thief.... and.....the evidence did seem to show that she ambushed him....at least from what we know. Two troubled people = disaster.

I think it is interesting that she took a life....but her brother will serve his entire life [in prison].

Wonder why the prosecution settled for the low sentence????

Bottom line.....tragic that a life was lost.

Fred Lane was close friends with one of my old neighbors. He and his wife came over to our neighborhood gatherings many times. So, I got to know him pretty well. He was a really nice guy. She was an absolute bitch. She got into arguements with tons of people. There were fights between them, but she provoked him every time.

Fred was a friend of one of my close friends. I've never heard anything bad about him only good things like how generous he was and what a good friend he was. I also heard the same from people on the street. He was known to be a great tipper.

The news said at the time was that he had come to the house only to get a motorcycle he was going to sell and that he had left Diedra for someone else. You can pretty much put the rest of the story together. It's just really f*cked up how she can walk now after shooting him in cold blood over jealousy and money lust.

The system is f*cked!!!

    • I would say the extremes from both camps in these conversations have to do with the blurring of the fact Bryce is a first overall pick and the expectations for that draft slot fair or not far exceed just being a top 20-25 starter amongst your peers. Regardless. All logical Panthers fans want him to be the answer.
    • The offseason is always when hope springs eternal. If you look past that, you can see a very bad roster with a lot more questions than definitive answers. Let's hope we get a lot of those right, because I think we are a lot closer to another impatient Tepper reset than we probably think.
    • These arguments are getting more and more disingenuous from both the pro and anti Bryce crowd. Bryce looked very good for stretches down the final 8 games. He finally showed glimpses of the guy that was projected as a top QB pick in the draft. Bryce also didn't look like a top 10 NFL QB.  I think we are so far removed from Prime Cam that we forget what an elite QB looks like. I could tell that when people were losing their minds and simping for Sam Darnold. This season needs to finally showcase Bryce as a franchise talent. If that doesn't happen, it's time to pivot. There are very few recent examples of QB's struggling or being a mixed bag through the first three seasons of starting and then suddenly becoming frachise caliber players.
