Yeah I watched all of it, awesome as usual and so happy to have him paid and locked in for years to come.

My mancrush grows. Liked how he also mentioned how all of the fans were hitting him up on facebook and begging him to stay... Said he loved Carolina, it's where his heart is, just had to get the numbers behind them...

He started the interviewtalking about how Carolina was first choice that 26 other teams pass on him and Carolina gave him his opportunity to play in the NFL. He also thank the fans for their Facebook replies which played a part in him resigning. He said he loves Carolina. When ask about is Carolina going in the right direction; he replied by saying how the experts felt that the Panthers weren't going to amount to much this year but that we had some of the top free agents. He also said with the retention of their top defensive players and the drafting of Cam Newton shows they are headed in the right direction. When ask about who do he prefer to be their starting QB he gave the correct yet polictial answer by saying who ever willing to put in the work day in and day out.

    • I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them. As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA. They are developing relative to their ceilings. I doubt any of them will ever command the coverage, money, or the respect that Moore has acquired. He's a tier above them. Yes, even X.
    • IMO, if Ceedee plays against us, the game probably goes the other way. Same with Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins. Our team just isn't designed to beat teams with two high level receivers like that. But when you look at the league, how many teams really have two guys of that caliber?  There's nothing wrong with defensive adjustments, but sometimes I think a lot of fans want Evero to call a different play like a game on madden, and defensive football just isn't like that. That said, I thought we did a much better job this season against the Cowboys of flipping Jaycee and at least making them work for it, opposed to last season when they literally just lined CeeDee up on the other side of the field every single snap.  For us to just straight up switch to consistent man coverage, or a different zone, or whatever, we likely would consistently need different personnel on the field. Doing it a few times a game is a gamble and can work, but if we consistently run man coverage against the Cowboys, eventually a RB is going to beat a linebacker, or something of that nature with our personnel. Part of the reason Evero likes this scheme is that, while we have our defaults and presets, what we do is very multiple, and you can do a lot of different things pre and post snap. We are a challenging defense to read. But as you said, if guys are getting beat, it doesn't really matter what you call.
