The biggest mistake JR can make is leaving $$ on the table.

In his interview today he said the next step is extending current players. He didn't say anything about going after more free agents.

We could end up in a situation where we have cap room left and we didn't sign any big names.

Overspending on a bunch of contracts is not good if you don't fill all the holes.

We need a CB, a QB a RG. I hope we don't sign a bunch of no-names and leave $8M in cap.

Especially after we were one of the cheapest teams in the league last year with the worst record.

No matter how good Cam and Rivera and Olindo Mare are you can't make a 2-14 team into a playoff contender without some more pieces.

Just my opinion.

Dude we can't leave $$$ on the table.... By the end of the year we must have salary at 99% of the cap!!!!!

After we get Beason and Kalil set, and the Smitty situation figured out, Im sure we will make more moves.

You didn't expect him to reveal our entire Free Agency agenda to all of ESPN Radio listeners did you? He seems to be fairly confident in the moves Hurney and Rivera are making.

We are signing a corner. There's just no way Ronnie Rivs is going into camp with Cap'n starting(bless his little soul, I love him). But it ain't happening kids.

Sign one of the top tier CBs and a decent QB and I will be pretty happy with everything.

We have $$ to do it.

These big name corners don't always pan out.

Anyone remember Ken Lucas, Big $$$ for average play.

Dunta Robinson from last season? Not a difference maker.

This... when reach and over spend for a position of need it does not always play out well....

Just because we Need a position, doesn't mean there is a good fit there at the right $$$ at the time.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
