Big Winners (so far)

Trey Wingo thinks so per Twitter:

big winner so far under new CBA? Carolina. if they had to play Cam Newton Sam Bradford money, no way they could keep deangelo, johnson etc

I agree. I know it's been said before but JR had a plan 2 years ago with this team and we are now beginning to see the fruits of his labor.

It was hard shelling out hard earned money for an inferior product last year, but if things come together as JR and Co have planned then the next 5,6,7 years should more than make up for it.

I hope you guys are as excited as I am.

I'm sorry if this thread seems trite and unnecessary but i just had to express my enthusiasm.

Carry on!!

I'm pretty sure JR knew what ^He was doing last year... Time to give the man his dues...

Last year sucked for sure. But it appears to have been necessary. There was a reason He was in the forefront of this whole labor deal

Wouldn't surprise me at all if He got with Hurney before hand to see how much Hurney would need to resign our guys.... And then I bet He suggested that # of 120 million

JR=Genius! He doesn't have the most expensive sports franchise in The World on accident!

BIGGEST losers= Falcons

All those draft picks they lost to Cleveland for Julio are bigger than ever considering how cheap rookies are now... Just saying...

We will win this Division this year... No doubt!

    • man, watching real nfl teams play football makes me sad.
    • - Even with Derrick Brown back, we so far have the kind of defense that would require an offense that scores about thirty points a game to win. We do not have an offense that can score thirty points a game. - Young is still not quite good enough for me to endorse sticking with him, but the "worst ever" talk is silly, especially given that his 'support staff' has some major holes in it. Evaluate him honestly and don't try to explain it away when he does well. You still might come away with negative feelings, but they'll at least be honest. - Xavier Legette...is it a confidence problem? A skill problem? An effort problem? Combination of things? Unknown, but at this point I'd absolutely move him down the depth chart. Replace him with Coker (when he's healthy) or Horn, or... somebody. Maybe he can win back his job down the road, but right now? 😖 - Starting to feel like there are some issues with our offensive play design, though more so on the run plays than the passing ones. Not sure whether Canales or Idzik is writing the plays but whomever it is might need to make some changes. Mind you, this is not something I've put any detailed analysis into at this point. It's just a general observation. Maybe someone who checks the All 22 stuff can take a look. - Appended to the above, I feel like I'm done with Evero. Though to be fair, I already felt that after last season's debacle. - Positives: I like this Tremayne kid. Kudos also to Hunter Renfrow and, of course, McMillan.
