In fairness, backtracking like that is generally about as effective as "the jury will please disregard that statement." It's out there now.

Not sure what I think of this right now, honestly. Rex Ryan is a bit much sometimes, but nobody really wants a "say nothing" coach like John Fox either.

Kinda hoping Rivera will be somewhere in-between.

I agree, I don't want to see Coach R be as bombastic as Ryan (either one of them), but I absolutely love the fact that he is setting expectations high and making sure there is no ambiguity on what the team's goals are. The bottom line message is, he expects the team to fight like they expect to win them all. That's the fundamental ingredient of any success the team will have - the attitude that they can win. That's a big change from the vanilla, let's-roll-the-dice-and-see-how-we-do attitude we've gotten from the previous regime since 2008. :thumbsup:

you're telling me if someone offered you even odds on the panthers going 10-6 or 6-10 you'd choose them going 10-6?

Honestly, everything that could go wrong went wrong last year. New coaching staff, new energy, and healthy players (especially on defense) already improve this team's win total...that's just a stupid comment. Talent level on paper alone for this team screams .500 which is fine with me at this point, 7 or 8 wins would make for a fun season.

Besides, WTF do you think, Atlanta's gonna win the division?? lawl...moron

i wouldn't take 6-10 either

if someone said 6-10 or 10-6 and anythin else is a wash i wouldn't take either one

i think its just as likely that we catch a few teams by surprise and get on a roll as it is we stumble out of the gate trying to find an identity

deangelo can score. our defense will hopefully score and manage to hold opponents down

if we come out looking like last year, no way we win 6 games
