This isn't a Marvel movie. Marvel sold the rights to several of their franchises including X-Men and Spider-Man to different studies with clauses that state the studies must produce a movie within a given number of years or the licenses revert back to Marvel. This is why Sony is rebooting Spider-Man and why Fox released X-Men: First Class earlier this year.

If this is as good as the XMFC, I'll be happy. I thought the last X-Men was the best of them all.

Trailer looks lame. They are going to make a killing off it though. I know people who never watched the first trilogy, but since this one has the guy from the social network or whatever they are already sweating it. I almost feel like it will be there version of a tighlight type movie, focused on clueless teenagers.

Having said that I love spider-man and will probably give it a try.

I just watched this last night, and even though they did the origin story over, I think this was the best Spiderman movie made so far.
