Atlanta-area Panthers Fans

After decades of being a local family-owned joint - last year, the place that's been super-friendly to us local Panthers fans near Perimeter Mall was sold to new ownership.

So I just poked my head into the place to see if they'll be as warm and welcoming to us taking over that front TV spot like we've been doing.

The response? "We're no longer a Carolina Panthers bar."

So that begs a question: where do y'all want to go now to watch the games?

Do we go to that bar anyway and say "screw it", or do we find a new place? If it helps, I drove over to one of their other locations that used to be Panther-friendly, and the staff there said, "sure!!! Come on by and we'll probably even throw the game up on one of the two giant projector screens; you might not get sound, but we'll get the game on for you somewhere - we've got plenty of TVs here."

Unless you guys have better suggestions and location scouting reports.

take that poo over.. coordinate on here and social media.. fug the falcons

The bitch about it is that the old place (multiple locations) was really more of a locals place where everybody knew each other, the bartenders bought rounds of drinks, the owner came by to say "hi", the waitstaff knew our regular orders, there was good-natured ribbing between the different fanbases that called the place home (one guy: "Ladies and Gentlemen, the NEW YORK fugIN' GIANTS!" // the entire rest of the bar: "Shut up, Charles").

With new ownership? Not so much. You can't get that at Generic Sports Bar

Yeah - we saw that was coming a little at the end of last season when the new owners took over w/ the new menu in Nov/Dec-ish.

I'm going to try the Spalding location for today until we figure out future weeks.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
