Does anybody think Brady didn't like that Cam threw for 400+yards?

If Cam is in contention to be close or even surpass Brady's numbers as a rookie was unfathomable 3 weeks ago. I haven't been this excited to see a panther QB play ever. Is this what a player "energizing" the fan base feels like? Imagine if he has another monster game against GB. We can actually begin smack talking with other fan bases again.

Brady had never thrown for 400 yards in a game, then Cam does it in his first game! Even without the 99 yard pass he would have beaten Cam in yards. So, is Brady that shallow and vain that he had to beat a rookie? or is just a coincidence?

*stirring the pot* :seeya:

No, because I'm not shortsighted. Brady wasn't thinking about "Cam Newton".

I think Brady is a competitor. Yes, it's possible that all of the "Brady has never thrown for 422 yards in a game" talk in the media was something that motivated a competitor like Brady to go out and do it.

Had nothing to do with "Cam Newton".

Brady has how many Super Bowl rings? Brady is married to who? Brady has clearly never HAD TO throw for 422 yards, doesn't mean he couldn't have, as was shown last night.

The response would have therefore been to slap media idiots in the face, not "Cam Newton", duh.

Brady had 410 yds. passing against the Chiefs in an '02 game, but it was an OT game. If he was feeling envious about 400+ games, he's probably looking no further than his own team, since Bledsoe had 4 games that went for more than Brady's 410.

To answer the original question, NO. I think Brady just did what Brady does. Beat the other team by whatever means necessary, without mercy. They never take their foot of the gas, and last night was no different.

And I love Brady and Pats are my second favorite team. I'm not mad we lost to them in the Superbowl because I respect them. If there's one team I had to swallow that loss from, it doesn't taste quite as bad knowing it was the Pats. I also love the fact that Newton got pointers from Brady and they practiced together. That, to me, means he's as smart as I wanted him to be.

If you want to be the best, learn from the best! If it would have been Manning, I would have puked.
