Interesting Quote from DeAngelo Williams

Mr. Scot

Reporter: fox what do you have to say about this embarrassment of a playoff performance where the qb you live and die by looked horrendous and larry fitzgerald had like 150 receiving yards on your secondary by halftime because you just don't believe in assigning your no.1 corner on their no.1 receiver, resulting in a horrific end to what looked like a very promising campaign?

Fox: hey you know we just picked a bad day to have a bad day you know ya win some you lose some fug it i got a million in the bank and im gonna bring you more of the same ineptitude in the coming years and people are going to defend me and still respect me because i somehow got a team to play in a superbowl at a time which is no longer relevant.

Man, you're really carrying some serious resentment there. Let it go man, life is too short for so much hate.

I bet some people expressed the same amount of unbridled hate for george seifert and you just stood there and didn't respond with similar live and let live commentary because hey it's george seifert and fug him

No, I never expressed hatred for Seifert. I was pretty disappointed in the team record, but hating a coach is just dumb. They're all professionals, and every one of them wants to win. Siefert made a mistake at QB. And he got fired for it. Fox came in and gave us, as a franchise, some serious success that we hadn't seen since our second year. And he had a team that, to the end, looked like it could be competitive every year.

Six coaches were fired last year, and only one landed somewhere else. If only they were as knowledgeable about football as you, I'm sure it would have been someone else, huh? :)

This. He could have gone the Wade Phillips route and become a DC. But he is good enough to be a HC and of all the people in league history, John Elway was impressed with him...enough said.

I don't get the hate for Fox either. The team had a lot of other problems including poor drafting (he takes part of the blame but Hurney and scouts are also to blame). Also the current coaching staff is unproven and currently 0-1.

Fox gave us a few solid years, and I'm thankful for those. No need to live in the past. If Fox was our problem, well, he is gone now Let us move on.

I like the fact that people keep saying he's so good despite the fact that he gives you every indication that the opposite is true

Somehow I doubt there's anything you really like. :)

And no matter what the indications are, he's not our coach any more. So it doesn't matter, unless you're stuck in the past.

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
