Just stop. All of that mess. You are all over-reacting there. I can honestly say I believe in this team exactly AS IT IS. We played pooty and made mistakes today and still came away respectable. That's all this was.

But we don't need to change ANYTHING at the moment other than figure out a way to get the run going and improving our O-line and maybe sub someone else in for Naanee. Our OC is fine. Our receivers are fine(If Naanee doesn't step up I'm confident we can get someone else in there next week, and between Smith, Olsen, Lafell and Shockey....I didn't think I would ever say this pre-season, but WE ARE GOOD HERE!). Cam can throw to anyone. That's obvious now. He just needs some time to figure out what each one of his receivers can do.

Our OC did what he did today because we simply couldn't get the run game going. Our coach made a mental error call on declining the penalty. Our QB made a mental error in taking a 3 yard loss instead of throwing the ball away which would have given us a first down and had 3 pics thanks to our OC deciding to experiment with a broken run game for 2 straight quarters and putting us in a position to have to come back from behind. Smith, had a million mental errors today, which you just normally don't see. We had 4 turn overs, which I also don't expect on a regular basis. As far as the pics....EVEN WITH the pics....we could have easily won this game. If Cam puts up these type of numbers, and next time we get some TD's instead of field goals.....3 pics don't even scare me.

And if you don't think Cam has a lot of room for improvement, let me just put this up for context: He's so green, he's still lunging forward when he runs with the ball as if he's a damn running back, in the NFL. He has yet to learn the importance of a slide. He's THAT green and he's already doing this for us. I really hope they smack him upside the head...if they can reach it.......because this is one mistake I do not want him to have to learn from a bad experience. He's going to get hurt if he keeps doing that. Rivera needs to climb on something and start shouting in his ear on this one.

But, really, it was a bad day for our O. I know it may be misleading because of the yards we put up, but it WAS a bad day. It was a bad day for our coaches. It was just a bad day for our team. You will not see this repeatedly. Just BELIEVE in our guys for a change! Please just give us one more week, before you start this mess. Just one more week. Give us a chance.

We are fine with what we have and we WILL be fine next week. I'm pumped!

    • First, am I wrong? I looked back over all his posts here and I didn't see anything positive other than Shough. Second, pretty sure if you had read the post I was responding to, you would have seen CRA made poo personal as well . You just choose to address me instead of him. Not sure why?????
    • I wanted XL but I felt he should have been a 2nd rounder but I understand the logic trading up just to get the option. A safety net for your gamble.    Certainly disappointed with his receivers development but i like his down field blocking and I imagine that's what's keeping him on the field.
    • Pretty sure it is a given Young lacks typical QB size and strength and he is here simply because his other attributes more than make up for it. My point is not to indicate anyone "settled" for him but rather to remind people that there have been plenty of big, strong QB's that have not lived up to expectations. Jamis Winston, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, JaMarcus Russel are a few examples. They all have the physical attributes coveted by teams and yet none have had sustained success in the NFL. And yes, there are QBs that do have both but there aren't many and some of the ones still playing were failures with their early teams. Saying Young is a bust simply based upon his size (and I do think it is as simple as that for a few guys around here) is unfair to both him and the team.
