Did we misuse money on DeAngelo?

If it was me as GM, I would have offered a 3 year contract with 15 mil guaranteed.

Take it or leave it, son.

Far as the running game, that's due to lack of offensive line push and defenses forcing the pass. Well, after Cam's display of brilliant poise in the pocket and big pass plays so far this season...defenses will be spreading out more often, and Panthers will have an complete dynamic offense...no doubt in my mind.

I don't think teams are going to back off any time soon....possibly never this season. Cam won't keep up his pace.....just isn't realistic no matter how bright his future is. All it takes is a missed block here or there or a couple more bad decisions by Cam.....and it will pay off. Still better for an opponent to put the ENTIRE load on a rookie QB vs. letting a talented backfield allow him balance.

Point taken you're likely right. People seem to forget though..that the ground game isn't always the key of good RB's, RB's have blocking to do, and Dwill & Jstew are very reliable when it comes to blocking the pass rush. Also, check downs and screens will fare well as shown in Chud's offense already. Dwill's contract hurts because of the damn big guaranteed money factor..I hate it in most situations, but it's the standard.
