The way I see it, Jacksonville hasn't scored over 17 points this season. We could let them run for 400 yards, just don't let them score more than 17. The Panthers are averaging 22 points a game. Victory :hurray:

Only way I don't see you guys passing for 400 yards is if you are up 17-0 to nothing at halftime. I don't think the Jags have the comeback ability to catch up.

im not sure we can get jaguars run game off the field between the 20s. as we all know, doing that eats clock. i think we will do what works, which means we will try the run game and abandon it if we cant get good yards. jags are a top run D so far and i expect cam to do well again.
you get ahead by a couple scores and they can't afford to eat the clock. they can't afford to keep it on the ground. you take advantage of that team playing a short game and take it away by forcing them to play catch-up.

agreed.

i think we'll score more than 22, though. we put up 28 against a better defense and we have an offense that is improving every week (despite the turnovers last week). red zone work should get better.

I'm expecting/hoping for a Panthers WIN.

Chudz and many Coryell coaches like to pass to score and run to win.

Cam is a stud, but I hope the Panthers won't be in a position to air it out.

Hopefully they'll be playing with the lead during the second half and will have a more balanced offense as consequent of that lead.

If Cam passes for over 400 and they don't rush for over 100, they will lose, so who gives a crap?

This team should be 2-0 right now.

Yes because it was the not rushing that caused us to lose. The 4 turn overs and crap field position has nothing to do with it.

You're right though, it should be. And the reason we're not has little to do with the lack of run game. We just didn't finish and made too many mistakes on both sides of the ball. We didn't use the run game to get us the first 23 points last week. And we can still get Stewart involved for 100 just fine. We can get the wins, run game or no run game, if we just limit mistakes, get better field position, don't turn over the ball and punch through at the end to close the game!

I can't believe it's almost game time and some of you still have this attitude. You're probably

sitting in front of your TV all depressed and negative going...."man, we're going to lose".

GET PUMPED BABY!!! HAVE SOME FAITH!!!

Tom didn't get it either. He came short. I swear is it weird to anyone else that predictions always seem to go the opposite?

Every freaking week. Jinx on a roll. This is why I wanna keep mentioning that no rookie QB that started day 1 has ever won the Superbowl in his first year!

I hope media starts repeating this over and over too.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
