Can Shula help us shut down Jacksonville's offense

Panthers will stop MJD like the Jets stopped him... Score and make you guys throw. If we can keep him under 100 like Jets we will win.

And no not every Panthers fan think this is gonna be a blowout.

Oh and one of the best D in the league had kind of a hard time stopping Cam and looking at your board you guys think Jags will do it eazy.

Our badly injured D will still get the job done. Our LB's are very good, yes even the back ups. We have two legit pass rushers on at the DE spot and a rookie in the middle (McClain) who's shown a lot of promise.

My only real concern now is Pugh who knows he has to step up.

I can't see Jax's soft Tampa 2 keeping Cam in check since we have such a strong pass protecting OL and 4 legit receiving options- not counting the RB's.

Jets who are one of the best defenses in the league couldn't stop MJD with 9 in the box. Dude trucked their nose tackle... who is 320+ LOL Guy is a monster. Good luck with MJD ya'll. I expect a good game and not a blowout like every Carolina fan thinks.

Being 320 doesn't make you good, it just makes you fat. I'm 6'5" 335 lbs and he'd run right over me too.

How many TD's did he get?

I think it will be a bigger deal than you do given he was the quarterback's coach but there is a reason you and I are sitting here talking about the game while they are playing it. LOL.

I agree.

It can help in 1 of 2 ways.

(1) Shula can help the DC prepare by assisting in film breakdown/scouting tape.

Shula will be able to clue them into the tendencies and the concept behind the Jags base plays/concepts from their most goto formtations/packages.

(2) Kotter(sp) knowing that Shula knows there offense would spend time changing their tendencies e.g. if the normally run a plays X,Y and Z from formation/personnel group A they would change it to run plays Q,R and S from formation A.

But, changing the offense takes time coaching in the NFL is a zero sum game.

They only are allowed a certain numbers of on the field/off the field coaching time.

Therefore anything that takes time away from the normal game plan is beneficial.

The flip side is that Kotter knows that Shula knows.
