Since Jake's contract is up after this season, who will be our QB in 2010?

I said that because Fox tried to sign McCown before as well as this tidbit of info.

"We followed him in Detroit and followed him Oakland and we talked about him this past offseason, (fox on McCown.)

What was Fox going to say? How about this" He sucked in the past and has never been much. We didn't really like him but figured he was the best we could do on short notice since we only wanted to give up a late pick. So we pulled the trigger and hope he never sees the field" Of course he was going to say only positive things about him.:D

Jake's done a lot for the franchise...good and bad, but in a season that saw Andy Reid bench McNabb in a regular season game; I just can't figure why Fox wouldn't have done the same thing in a playoff game? Was he worried about hurting his ego for next season?

Tell me how many times a coach has ever pulled a guy in a playoff game in the past 5 years for anything other than injury? Then tell me have they ever ended up winning the game? If the answer isn't 0 to the first question I am sure the answer to the second one will be never. And that will answer your question.

Not saying that I disagree with your point, but how many starting QBs have thrown 5 interceptions in a playoff game in the past 5 years?

John Parker Wilson from Alabama has some talent and will be there probably in round 3 or 4.

He will probably be there in round 6 or 7 also. The guy locks onto his receiver, is terrible for overthrowing his receivers, and has only an average arm. He is tough. However, watching him at Bama for 3 years, I pray that he never wears a Carolina Panthers uniform.

None that I can think of when you use the five year qualifier. But Brett Favre did throw 6 INTs against a Kurt Warner led Rams team in a playoff game in 2001, 3 of them going back for TDs. He then threw 4 against Minnesota in the playoffs in 2004 at home. Peyton Manning thew 4 against New England in 2003.

What!!! The colts need to get rid of Peyton Manning immediately! He is obviously losing games for the colts and they are never going to win a Superbowl with him behind center! Jay Cutler to the Colts?? :rolleyes:

I surprisingly haven't seen a thread about 2010 yet. Sure it's a ways away, but do you think even this Jake-worshiping FO is going to sign a then-35-year-old Jake to another long-term deal? Assuming we don't, just where in the world are we going to get a quarterback from? Are we going to make a play for a Sam Bradford next year? Try our hand at a mid-round quarterback in the vein of Stefan Urkel LeFors? Go after someone like Troy Smith who will be a free agent next year? Or are we going to turn the reins over to McCown or Moore (both of which will be free agents as well next offseason)?

hey- just look at it this way;

"jakes in a contract year" :D

Jake is not in the same league as Payton, Kurt or Brett (in his prime)
