Naming Boxer Puppy

Wyank

Recommended Posts

Getting a fawn boxer puppy, male with 3 white paws and some white on his chest. Black face. Runt of the litter. Definitely hyper. Chews.

We need a name. Ideas?

Favorite so far, no particular order:

Cassius - wife doesn't like it though

Trey

Frank

Cameron

Otis

Little Mac

Tuka

I had a friend with a similar looking boxer, and he named him Trey because of the 3 white paws.

If you are looking to go panther related...Stewie, Willie, Charlie, Jonnie, are just some of the ones I thought of. Don't name him Jeff though. You'd probably end up with a lot of vet bills.

Cassius

I suggested that to my wife last night. She had no idea who Cassius Clay was. :banghead:

Name him sh*thead after the dog on The Jerk.

I do have a 3 year old daughter. While some might find it funny a lil girl calling for her dog "Sh*thead, come here Sh*thead" I don't think it's going to work.

You'd probably end up with a lot of vet bills.

This will be 4th boxer I've had, actually 1st three were while I lived with my parents. But I still knew to expect some health problems when my wife and I chose a boxer. They're just fun dogs.

We never name a pet until its lived with us for a little bit. After a few days a short list of names based on looks and personality comes together and by the end of the second week we have a choice made.

I was thinking this too originally but the breeder's agreed to keep the puppy an extra 2 weeks since we were not able to actually pick the dog up on the 27th when the rest of the litter was being taken. They asked us if we had a name for him yet so they can start calling him by his future name.

We're watching mother-in-law's dog while they go on vacation and don't want their dog injuring the puppy. Something we agreed to do before deciding on getting a dog ourselves.

    • Wanting that type of play and being okay with paying $55 million a season for it are two entirely different things. If Bryce were to become the same player Purdy has been, then he would surpass my expectations of him and I'd be okay with him as our QB of the future (and again, I've long been one of the bigger anti Bryce people here who doesn't think he is capable of being our long term solution). But in no world would I be okay with paying him THAT kind of money, paying an average starter elite money is just a terrible decision.
    • I don't think they can overcome that mistake. Hell Lance was a hiccup compared to this. He isn't going to be able to carry that price tag and now he is going to have to do just that. Lol. The NFL is so dumb sometimes.
    • So, one could say that T-Mac is quicker than someone of his size should be and while he might not be quite as fast as Evans in the 40, he's more athletic than Evans. If only someone, anyone, could have seen that in his tape and mentioned that on here, hmmmmmmm In all seriousness, hearing he tested in the 89th percentile in that drill at his size is crazy impressive.  Just tried to look up the times of the top WRs in the league right now, most don't show at time for that, but I did see Chase ran his in 7 seconds flat. I honestly don't know how true this is, but I do remember seeing one breakdown of his tape and the person said he has quiet and efficient feet.  That he's really good at using the minimal steps possible to make his cuts and because of that, it actually makes him look slower to the human eye because you don't see all the quick chop steps that the guys like Tyreek would use in their running. I'm still in a state of disbelief that he's a Panther and it might not fully hit me until week 1 and I see him out there making plays for us, still feels like Goodell is going to just be like, "YOU GOT PUNKED!!!  hahaha, he's a Cowboy now, suck it"
