Cam's Response to Olsen

hilarious

I mean what's not funny about two guys that are going to play a major role in our teams future fighting

Cam can do no wrong with some of you guys. Get real, this is the last thing the team needed.

No, this was the last thing this team needed:

Carolina's defense allowed Matt Forte to run for 205 yards and its special teams had several costly mistakes, including allowing a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown to Devin Hester in a 34-29 loss to the Chicago Bears Sunday at Soldier Field.

Everything else, is not relevant.

dunno if Olsen should of said good game to a guy that just wants to win lol i know he's trying to be nice and all but he's very competitive and it just sucks that something that probably happens all the time in locker rooms after a game has to be overheard by a reporter in whatever context it was said in.

personally, Olsen losing to his former team, why wasn't he upset?

That's partly why I can't blame Cam for being angry. Some people like to be left alone and process things after a loss, and their teammates have to respect that. If they don't, this stuff happens.

Also, I think it was telling in Rivera's presser on Wednesday or whatever day it was, that asked about what's different about Shockey vs. Olsen and Rivera seemed to imply that Olsen just plays but Shockey plays and wears everything on his sleeve.

It was almost like an indirect way of saying Olsen goes through the motions and Shockey plays with heart.

i fully support cam on doing this. never give up and never be satisfied with a loss. newton is setting a win only mentality for this team. while it may anger some players, its going to motivate a lot of other players. we need to bring in more players with this mentality and weed out the ones without it... like naanee.

theres a reason why this wont happen between cam and smith, because they have the exact same mentality. guarantee you smith would have done the same thing in cams position.

Cam apologists are hilarious. While it won't be a big deal because Olsen wont make it one, if that's what Cam said he has a ton of growing up to do. You can't lash out at a teammate who's trying to pick you up after a loss, competitive or not....

So you're saying we should get rid of one of our best weapons in Olsen....yea I'm glad you have no say in our personnel moves....

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
