My wife, my friends....

....all refuse to watch Panthers games with me at home.

I get really angry, cuss, scream, jump up and down etc...

My dog is the only one who will watch games with me cause I give him treats when the Panthers score.

IMO, I have yet to meet any "real" Panther fans in Charleston.

Am I out of line? Or is this normal fandom behavior?

Yeah, when I lived there I was always the only one at any establishment who cared about them outside of my friends who were casual fans in it for the ribs or whatever I cooked for the games.

For most South Carolinians the universe begins and ends with Clemson or USC.

I may be moving to Charleston next year so if you want we can get angry, cuss, scream, and jump up and down together.

I actually had to tone it down bc one time I scared our dogs so bad they wouldn't come near me for two days.

But even then, yesterday I hit door so hard I nearly broke it

Yes, this is completely normal. I watch most of any game out back in my detached garage and was told to quiet down numerous times yesterday when I went in the house. Nobody saw the desk chair get kicked across my garage when Hester ran it back... I usually calm down a bit by the 4th qtr. Its either calming down or the 8 beers, I dont know which...

    • After some of the calls last year probably won't see much of a drop off

Resisting changes that would actually incentivize good performance and not seniority based systems. What a bunch of donkeys. Hope the replacements straight up take their jobs and never give them back. Sick of watching refs script games with no repercussions.
    • Donovan seems like highest risk to me. Lloyd and May have already established relationships with all these kids. There’s probably guys hitting the portal that they recruited from HS. And then there’s the possibility of transferring their own guys from their current teams. They’ve also been recruiting the HS kids for like the next 5 years already. Look at the Iowa coach who hit the ground running by transferring all his guys from his D2 program. Or going across sports to Cignetti transferring all his JMU guys year one then building off that to a national title year 2. Donovan is starting from square one having been in the NBA so long and he’s already 60. So you’re potentially punting year 1 for a guy you are just hoping to be a 10 year hire while you figure out how to actually develop your next home grown 20yr guy. That’s 1/10th of the time you have him, more or less at best. The hope would be that he would find some high level assistants who have been working the college recruiting trails already, but then are you giving up his ideal staff just to get a foothold in recruiting and transfers. Think Belichick year one was bad? Imagine how much worse it would be without Steve Belichicks transfer portal pulls. Hoping Mays or Lloyd are all they’re cracked up to be.
