We are averaging 8 per game which is only better than Oakland.

Penalties often mean your team is outmatched but 3 of our opponents have been pretty mediocre.

If you have watched the games you will know several of our scoring drives have been ruined by untimely penalties.

Fix this and we start winning.

But cam Cam take the loses?

Stop your fuging trolling, Luck is nothing guaranteed and Newton is. If you aren't gonna support our QB I suggest you find another fuging team, or support whatever fuging team Luck lands on.

But cam Cam take the loses?

Is there any truth to Cam cussing out Olsen? We are on the cusp and he knows this. Every game, it truly is something that we don't account for. Two games it's been special teams now. Today also was officiating on the worst offensive pass interference call. Green Bay game it was the penalties. This is a 4-0 team. But we're 1-3 thanks to dumb sh*t. And boy I hate dumb sh*t.

Most have been on offense and many are illegal formation penalties. I expect we'll improve here as everyone gets more comfortable with the offense and formations and such.

Formation penalties happen a lot in an offense that does a lot of pre-snap shifting, especially when the team is just learning it.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
