Comeback Player of the Year

I know most of you don't care about awards but I was thinking about the Comeback Player of the year and Steve Smith has got to be at the top of the list.

The player named Comeback Player of the Year shows perseverance in overcoming adversity, in the form of not being in the NFL the previous year, a severe injury, or simply poor performance.

89 definitely fits the last part. Last season he had 554 yards and 2 touchdowns through the entire season (14 games). In the first four games alone this year he already has 530 yards and two TDs. I'm not sure what other players had down years or sat out last year and are having the production Smith is having. Right now the only other person who I think could get it other than Smitty is Stafford.

If you're a panther fan you shouldn't be voting for anyone else other than for your team imho.

and hes a quarterback.. they get all of the awards and glory, etc.

No, giving Steve Smith Comeback Player of the Year would be a joke. He didn't go anywhere. If anything, the Panthers QB situation should win.

doesn't it usually go to a guy that was hurt and is now doing well rather than a guy who just played poorly and is now playing well? If so, Stafford is a lock, plus he's a QB like you said.
