that's what im jelly of

teams like the pats, saints, colts, etc

teams that have guys who at the very least have 3-4 years left. they aren't going to be in a position to develop a QB like Carolina or Rams in one season. can draft guys here and there and find the right fit. wouldn't surprise me if the Saints picked up a high QB within the next few years.

Payton has coached up Kerry Collins(enough to get to the SB), Romo, and now Breesus. I'm confident if we draft a talented guy that he can mold him into an adequate replacement.

Cool, we will trade you Jimmy clausen for Meachem and a 2nd rounder? Deal? :D

btw since you seem somewhat reasonable what were your thoughts on officiating?

i went to the saints forum and they legit think this was one of the worst ref'd games of all time lulz

other than the first roughing call(which i'll admit was bogus) i think it was a pretty fairly called game

yeah he sucks. i guess he hit smith after not being able to hit anything else. he really f*cked us at Green Bay. we need to do something there asap.

also, i was reading the boards today, and it seems this forum has really gotten out of control. and i'm not being a jackass or trolling or whatever. just seems that over the past year the age or maturity level here plummeted. sucks for you guys. our boards turned into poo after 2006 then went past the point of no return in 2009.

he's 30 or 31

SO OLD

time flies

Established QB's seem to go until their late 30's barring injuries, but many of them smolder in the later years. Saints will be drafting a rookie to develop in a handful of years, but that being said any player could have their career ended on any play. Brees or Newton could have their career ended on the next play. This is football.

Eh. Saint J is one of the Saints fans I don't mind posting here. He's not totally ignorant or intentionally trollish. He's actually a step up from some of the aforementioned immature Panthers fans here.

Deep down, I knew the game was over the moment Brees got the ball back after that frickin' 3 and 2 play. But, taking the long term view, I don't know if I would have had it any other way.

The defense is going to have to learn to stop the best when it counts, and Sunday they simply didn't get it done.

I think our D did well honestly. You can only contain Brees. and that Game could have gotten out of hand really fast.

they actually did surprisingly

I mean it's never good to give up 30 points but to a team like the Saints it's expected

I think if we had Beason or even Davis we win this game. Graham bent us over, hard.

him and brees are going to be deadly. finley gets all the hype but he's barely the 3rd best(gronk and graham are better IMO)

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
    • This is the Buc's division to lose.  We come out on top only if the wheels come off if Tampa.  I agree we can be--and should be--better than the Saints and likely the Falcons.  A 9-8 season would be nice, but it isn't great.  It's mediocre and that something the Panthers haven't been in nearly a decade, but would be reason to celebrate.  Heck, the Steelers will likely fire Tomlin over a 9-8 season because they are tired of being mediocre.
    • First game was a awful stat line. 2nd DNP due to ankle Summer league doesn't help what hes bring, its dang near YMCA pickup game level.  I heavily question the type of player he is and his future was NOT, not not not what you use #4 pick on. Hornets got him on visit and still made the pick, they better hope he has some Larry legend in him. I maintain huge questions.
