The goal was simply to start the topic of what it takes at this point for the Panthers to get a flexed game, and what the first possibly attractive match-up for NBC would be, and to do so in an exaggerated fashion.

A "surprising" Panthers team with Cam Newton and Steve Smith going to a "surprising" Lions team with Matthew Stafford and Megatron. NBC would jump on that in a heartbeat...if the Panthers can string a few wins together before Week 11.
