Would an 80's arcade/bar work?

there is one in NYC. it's called Barcade. Badass except for all the hipsters and the fact that they only sortof maintain their games. They do verrrry well.

The key is to tap into a youth market that wants to get drunk and play ms pacman. you have to stock games that are accessible, you can charge 25c for, and are easily repaired because I can only imagine how many beers get spilled on any given night.

i live on one the best streets in Charlotte for this. i totally see it working. got a buddy that has a warehouse of these machines and he has been in that biz for years but he fights me tooth and nail on it doing well.

its all in presentation and cool factor. i think it would rock.

yea, it's a pretty solid idea... get local breweries involved with some decent beer and have tournaments... a few pool tables, a few tvs for sports... make it accessible.

I'd go. Hell, I'd go to barcade more often if it wasn't so f*cking far away.

all games a quarter. try to have several 70's and 80's pinball(sorry, they own 90's). I would have a couple of flat screens showing loops of 80's movies. A couple of others showing sports.

Make it a lounge atmosphere with tons of games so it can be a starting point for a little bar crawl or the end point after a long night out.

Have a very simple and solid beer selection and just basic appetiziers to keep food costs down.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
