what do you mean someone has to ask it?? it's been asked since preseason and i have given my answer on it. There's a reason he's not a Bengal, Bill, Eagle or Cowboy. First off, he tends to drop some passes and Second, i would worry for Newton. Owens has thrown McNabb, Romo and Garcia under the bus, i think he wont hesitate to do the same to Newton, but for me the reason why you dont get him is age. i think Smith is worth keeping, BUT if you want to get a WR, go younger. i do want Jeffery or Blackmon or Floyd in the draft, but they are young WRs.
