Undisciplined

I still don't see why posters throw out undisciplined. I guess so they can just blame the coach. However, the only undisciplined penalty was the personal foul for throwing punches. And I'm pretty sure Rivera isn't teaching that in practice. Bell kept getting burnt and had to hold or grab a facemask. That isn't undisciplined. That is a undrafted rookie starting in the NFL.

Bell wasn't the only one with penalties. False starts, holding (on people other than Bell), offsides, are all evidence of lack of discipline.

Really? Most holding penalties on the o-line were required because they were getting beat. And CJ has had the jumping offsides problem his whole career. I guess Rivera caused that too. Fact is, the penalties are the players fault. The coaching staff will only be able to correct issues like holding. They can't make the d-line more mentally sharp to not jump offsides.

Just as it is silly to want to cut everyone and fire all the coaches after a loss, it is equally wrong to sugar-coat our deficiencies after a win.

This has been a problem all season, and is something that will require the coaches attention the rest of the year.

And for all of you saying it is all the ref's fault, fans of every team in the league with a bad record think the refs are screwing them.

Let's enjoy the win, and hope for improvement going forward.

Ya but you can find almost any area to critique after a game. Yesterday NC State beat Virginia by 14 points and fans were crying about the coaching on their boards.

The penalties except for the FG are all on the Panthers. Like I said, the coaching staff will address the ones that are correctable. But I think it is a bit too easy to blame penalties on the coach. Most of the penalties were mental mistakes. And the coaching staff can only do so much for those.

    • I'm salty every time I see someones mid picks become stars while we throw first and second rounders over and over and they all stink outside of Tet (who still has a lot to prove, imo)
    • There is a contingent that is total Bryce but they weathervane with the wind. When the good Bryce wind blows about once or twice a month we hear a lot from them. But they are always pro Bryce, they just don’t pipe up too much when he sucks. I can’t speak for them, as far as what they are looking at.    In a second contingent, the collective mind is made up. He has had had basically three years worth of starts that might include a top tier outing or two, a few second tier outings, offset by about the same number of bottom tier outings which actually may have the edge there.  The rest of his stuff is third tier and that is going to be the bulk of his starts. We want to move on. And we aren’t getting off of that hill until he puts us off of it. He has not.    There is a third contingent that has no conviction and definitely weather vanes. Bryce is good. Bryce isn’t good. Depending on the latest game. They will buy into 7 on 7 success so that should tell you something.
    • Nacua is really fuging good. He might be a better version of Cooper Kupp.
