Great ESPN Article (for once)

We were all doubting Newton's abilities at one time or another. The Golden Calf of Bristol too. And now Newton is throwing up monster numbers. The Golden Calf of Bristol had a great showing last weekend. We will see how he does this week against Detroit's monster defense.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has never had a great showing in an NFL game. Quite the opposite really.

But he won and that is the bottom line.

in what way did The Golden Calf of Bristol have a great game last weekend? He played like ass for 55 minutes and somehow lucked into 2 ugly byt effective drives at the end of the game.

Stop forming your opinions based on whos dick ESPN is sucking this week and watch some film yourself!

    • I presented that scenario because this is a home game and we seemed to have improved in some capacity in that area as of recently. The problem with the possibility of sweeping the Bucs is this team has had a habit of quickly falling victim to momentum shifts. The Bucs are coming off a bitter loss the same as the Panthers but the Bucs have a much better proven track record this time of year and they have performed when the pressure is on unlike our Panthers. We have a shot against the Seahawks here in BOA but that is a matchup that could quickly get out of hand because they are a well coached team and that goes back to the momentum shifts I mentioned. I just don't see this team beating the Bucs in their stadium to close the season. Tall order to say the least.
    • I’d give it another year for Sanders and Evans, I don’t much care what you do with Tremble’s spot. Let him have another year or maybe replace him. Haven’t looked at his contract so that may be the determining factor.
    • Following the crazy up down pattern we finish 9-8 with an improbable sweep of TB, and lay an egg in the home playoff game.  I don’t know if I can sign on to sweeping TB but I suppose it’s possible, they aren’t really that good this year.    ps I can buy beating TB Sunday and losing to Seattle.  Then it just gets to can you fluke one game. Any given Sunday. So we’ll see.
