Is Jim Harbaugh that good?

SF had a great defense and good running game coming into this season. All they lacked was QB play.....and Harbaugh has done a nice job with Alex Smith.

Give him credit for being a good coach....but he is not the miracle worker that some of you think he is.

49ers had a defense with a lot of potential, but it under-performed significantly and was totally middle of the road last year.

Running game was worse than ours last year by a fair margin.

Saying all they lacked was QB play is a gross understatement of the problems in that locker room... QB play was a major factor but it was not the only one. They were in a very similar position to what we were really, a lot of the same holes and a lot of the same strengths.

Coach, is it true that you never gave Carolina any serious thought and went with the Stanford-San Fran tradition for the pure love of the game? Oh, and have you been in close contact with the Luck family about having him refuse to sign with the team that drafts him in order to offer him more dough and a reunion?

I met with Jerry Richardson, very pleasant man. However when I told him my salary requirements he reacted like he was choking on a chicken bone. As I left his office I heard him yell at his secratary to "Get that ****** on the phone!".
