I kid. my wife actually makes the best i've ever had, and she bakes it. I've had fried, and it just hasn't met the hype. Could be that it was just overcooked though.

Yea an over cooked bad fried turkey is horrible. But when you get it right where its moist on the inside and the skin is crispy on the outside...ooohhh wee mane...I need to change my pants.

Never had too.

Just give it a nice rub down the night b4.

Delish!

Rub seasons the outside, brine seasons the inside. Mix as cup of salt and a cup of brown sugar in water in a styrofoam cooler, add turkey, and enough ice water to cover turkey. Marinate overnight. Remove, dry, and rub down. Fry with glee.

So I guess that's a big ol' negatory on the restaurant suggestion. I'll look into the electric fryer.

Pony up the extra money now and youll save on the long haul. You should be able to make it all happen for less than 100 bucks unless youre cooking for 20.

Then for CHristmas/ next year you'll only be out the cost of a basic butterball turkey...
