The great debate PC vs. Console

Console gaming is simpler. You don't have to worry about adjusting video settings or updating parts. You'll eventually have to buy a new system, but the PS3 and 360 have been out for, what, over six years?

Also consoles have a better variety of games thanks to Japanese developers. No Final Fantasy, Tales, Mario, Zelda or anything even similar on PC.

I will say the consoles are losing some of their convenience due to hard drives, DLC, game installations. On PS3 it's absolutely horrible. Probably at least half the games require installations so you have to wait 15-30 minutes to play the game. And the constant updates mean if you buy a game two years later you have even longer to wait.

I made the transition from PC to Xbox because I was sick of the talentless assholes that play on PC. I think consoles have a much better player base and a maturer one once you get into elite levels.

this is completely backwards. the console community is far more immature than pc's.

even the newbiest of the newbs can stomp the "elite" console players as well.

I really think its true. I played for years on PC and just ran into idiots on every game. At least on console I can mute retards I don't like and also don't have to rely on them directly in order to accomplish something. I was held back for years on PC because of carrying talentless idiots through content. Every format has its bad players, I just think that on PC they directly effect you in a greater way.

I dunno what games you were playing, but I never hear 13 year olds on my games.

That's all I ever hear on Xbox Live.

The skill level on pc is 100% higher for players across the board. You don't have to get to any special "tier" of players to weed out the childrens.

Sounds to me like you were the one holding everyone back. That's how it usually rolls on pc. The gimp on the team blaming everyone else because they suck ass.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
