Don't think I ever used W/L as the sole reason. I still think we should have kept him around instead of Jimmy. Moore fits this offense way better than Clausen.

He had a winning record in the league and is probably slightly below it now if not even .500.

Glad we have a stable of "winning" QBs here in Carolina now though.

clausen could be gone sooner rather than later. obviously his irrefutable propensity to check down makes him a bad fit for this offense, and, expanding upon that, anybody besides maybe trent edwards would be a better fit. Also I never really thought he was the answer. If I did I wouldn't have supported drafting a QB as our only option.

unless the colts let manning walk and he was still healthy (which were 2 things that weren't ever going to happen) no QB we could get was going to boast a winning record this year. Yea you could argue the defense would be less porous with a top defensive prospect at no.1 but you would have to give up Cam's QB play to do that. Our defense overall is very inexperienced and unless we get 2 very good front seven players in the first 2 rounds in the next draft I'm not going to forecast a top ten defense next year either.

as far as Miami is concerned my father's a dolphin's fan and they've been dealing with mediocre QBing since Marino left so I hope they win the Luck sweepstakes. I do think Luck will make a great pro QB.

The question is not whether Moore is better than Jimmy. No doubt he is. The question would be, is he better than Derek Anderson. Because that is whose place he would be taking.
