Do you prefer a W next week or the #1 Overall Pick?

As well as who might be available in the draft. Kalil and Barkley could stay at USC just for a shot at a bowl game.

This is a scenario that scares me. Not the Barkley, but the Kalil part. I want Kalil. He would upgrade our line immediately. (And with the rookie pay scale, not cost us an arm and a foot.) Sure we can use more talent on our O, but Kalil would make us better, and I do not see any other player coming in and doing anything better. Please do not go there...(Blackmon or Jeffry)

I do not care where we draft, because personally, one player here or there is not going to make a difference for us. We need an influx of talent, at a handfull of positions. But winning is imprtant for this team, and its confidence. If we win a few games as the season ends, I will take it. Winning breeds confidence, and that is the one thing I believe this team needs more than anything.

My giddy sees the light, come join us. And GOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would actually be a bit disappointed if we went WR at #2 or #3, but yeah. He may end up being BPA.

I dunno though, for some reason I am just not as sold on Blackmon as others. I do like him, he is exciting, but I just don't get the same feel from him others do.

I agree, Blackmon or Jeffry are talents, just not sure this team needs to go there. I am just not of the mind that I would spend a top 5 pick on either one of them. Not with the needs this team has.

There are some very talented players out there that would upgrade our roster. And IMO, the roster as a whole needs upgrading. Adding an iffy WR at the top of the draft, does not make a lot of sense to me. Or you, from what I can gather.

Now if we were drafting at 15 or so, and either one of those guys were still there, I may take a shot at them. I just do not see either one of them being worthy of a top 5 pick.

Giddy up Panther fans. It had to be said eventually. And GOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bigger issue is making the right picks when we have them! I am not confident in Marty.

Dude, that ain't fair. Hurney is a salary cap guy who relies on others to guide him as it comes to drafts and FAs. If you are going to dis somebody, dis the scouting department, or the Head Coach. As far as I am concerned, he has done a pretty fair job. For every miss you give, I will name a hit. Want to play?

And before you go off, there are reasons behind the DWill and CJ signings. I am all for them, so let that be known beforehand.

Hurney's made some bone headed moves but I give him a bit of a pass on everything before 2010. I am annoyed with him over the Armanti trade, but he did pull the trigger on Cam which was a good idea.

and yes iamhubby I agree about a WR at the top of the draft. Frankly I think with Gettis returning, we aren't as desperate at WR as we thought we were last year. But we could use some protection from Cam, and we also need DT, OLB, and CB... so we'll see where we are and who ends up being available in the first and second round to fill those needs.

I want us to win I just think getting that #1 pick and pulling off a huge trade would net us more wins in the long run than one or two more pointless moral victories in this train wreck of a season. I'm just looking at the big picture, that's all.

Everyone thought getting the #1 this year would lead to a huge turn around, we see how that worked out. If losing out guaranteed future success sure take it. I just don't want to tank another season when we just proved it doesn't always lead to success.

See, the difference is, I do not believe Hurney has much to do with personell. He is a salary cap guy. His name gets thrown out there with the drafts, but he is not the draft guy. That is the scouting dept. and the head coach.

I am on record as stating we need 5 personell changes. 1 O-line (kalil), 1 LB, 1 RG(Otah,or Bell, as of now.) 1 FS, and 1 DT. Just to be competitive. Truthfully, we need an influx of talent to be elite. And unfortunately, that takes a couple of years. If we count this year, we are only a year or two away from being elite. Unless, as predicted, there are some FAs that would be willing to play with Cam at a reduced price. You know, some vets that have gotten their money, but have not yet won.

After 17 years of mediorcrity, I can wait a year or two. (Hey, I have been a Lions fan for almost 40 years. If I can handle that, I can wait a couple years for the Panthers to be elite.)

Truthfully, even as a life long Lions fan. My giddy was excited as all get out when we were up 24-7. And I thought that maybe we were on our way. But, no. Not today, but maybe next week. Or the week after. Cuz we are definately on our way.

Giddy for me, giddy for you. And GOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on Chief, we have made a turnaround. Our O because of Cam, is compeitive. It is not the O's fault that the D cannot stop anybody.

If you cannot see that Cam is capable of leading us to the promised land, then I cannot help you. Sure he makes mistakes. But he is being asked to lead an O, not manage an O. The pressure he is under is immense. I am both encouraged and frustrated by his success. He looks good, he looks like a rookie. We cannot win when he plays like a rookie. But when he is on, he is scary. Does not matter at this point, because, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel

For me... it's Just LOSE baby.... Colts can get two wins (they still have to play Ten, Houston and Jax).... A #1 overall pick insures we screw Bill Polian and his master plan to bring Luck (there is a Oliver Luck, Archie Manning, Bill Polian connection), it probably forces Andew Luck to chose med school rather than come out in the draft and if he does we will probably get a deal that will have Dan Snyder on the alter after he gives up his entire draft for Luck

A few corrections:

It's more of a Chris Polian master plan than anything else. He's gonna get a QB handed to him on a silver platter just like his pa.

Luck is in architectural-engineering not med school

Record says otherwise. The offense made a turn around, the team has not
