Cutler>Peppers ?

Kevin Greene

Recommended Posts

Julius Peppers, former #2 overall draft pick, 4 time pro Bowler coming off a big season. 29 years old in the prime of his career.

Jay Cutler, former #10 draft pick, 1 Pro Bowl, 87.1 lifetime QB rating. 25 years old. 15-17 as a starter the last 2 years. Drama is an understatement with this kid the last month.

So how can the Broncos secure 2 number #1 draft picks, a 3rd round pick and Kyle Orton for Cutler and a token 5th rounder inside of 24 hours upon deciding to trade him?

Meanwhile Pep's agent can't even sniff a deal weeks into the process?

What's wrong with this picture?

Well pretty much all Peppers has going for him right now is that he can continue to not sign his tender.

The Panthers basically hold the final say on any trade that might happen, and so if I was another team I probably wouldn't want to spend much of my time dealing with Carl Carey as an in between either.

I honestly don't know what's in this fuger's head because we just saw two guys get their chance to go to a new team (Cutler, Cassel).

He's hanging on to this selective bullshit about which team he wants to play for...Guess what Julius? It doesn't work like that in this league. So either you sign the damn thing if you want a change of scenery and you let us get the best compensation for you or you stay here for another year.

you can't have your fuging cake and eat it too.

Well I do think the agent was el stupido for commenting or leaking about Pep's being interested four teams. Way to limit offers to play off against each other dude.

Carl Carey is not the most revered NFL agent in the league either. He's trying to play big shot and he fuged up big time. Hence the "media blackout" he declared a few weeks ago. He realized how stunod he was.

Also note Peppers. I think someone posted an interview or something and he kinda went back on his stance that he wouldn't play here this year. Pep is as indecisive as they get. Let's face it, he's not the smartest guy to lace up a pair of cleats.

    • yeah, Panther PR has done the Tepper is taking a backseat PR tour before.   It wasn't true at all the first time we saw them attempt that.   All the stuff you are referencing is stuff produced and put out by the Panthers.  I'm not acting like owners aren't in the war room.   I'm just saying Tepper is a proven commodity.  He is what he is.  And his tenure with BOTH his professional sports teams tell the exact same story about him.   He is not patient.  He didn't show patience last year.  He moved on from an absurd investment 2 games into the season.....and a frankly unimaginable turnaround by Bryce that was only allowed by injury reset some things.  I'm sure a billion times Raiders or Dallas or whatever fans convinced themselves their owners turned a new leaf too.  I'm not buying that.  There just isn't anything supporting Tepper isn't Tepper IMO.
    • Well last year the first team offense struggled against the Bills 3rd string defense. First string offense needed to convert a 4th down to score a TD.  If the starters play against backups and do what they are supposed to do, score easily, I’d say the reps are worth it. Would make me feel better. Unlike last preseason.
    • This right here. You also don’t want your 2 nd string oline going against their starting Dline and risk injury to whoever is taking snaps
