Del Rio > McDermott

I will always have a spot in my heart for Jake. He did a hell of a lot of this franchise. My gripe is really for Fox and the Front Office for not knowing when to say when. Smart coaches/GMs know when to let guys go and to have a guy groomed/waiting and ready to take over. We didn't do that, and for that I think sometimes the hate goes to Jake when it shouldn't. Granted he played like Absolute poo towards the end of his career, hes responsible for that, but nothing more.

Del rio had Peppers, Rucker, Witherspoon, Morgan, Minter, Fields, Grant and Jenkins.

And yet still gave up 71 points in two games to Michael Vick.

We went to the Super Bowl with Mike Trgovac as DC. I'd definitely think that says something about how much talent that team had.

I also remember him having decent players to work with.

Aside from the play of our bookends, Gamble, Godfrey, and Anderson, the defense is awful and full of second/third stringers.

This right here is truth. lol

Give McDermott a chance to actually work with a defense that isn't filled with starters from a high school JV squad and then see how much better this team can be.

Sitting down and talking with Trgo is one of the best moments I have as a Panthers fan. He's hilarious.

And not intentionally, either. That's what makes it so funny.
