maybe they said that last year but Claiborne now has pretty much unanimously solidified himself as the #1 defensive player in the draft.

There are a number of very good fringe first/second round LB prospects in the draft and a number of very good fringe first/second round WRs as well. Also just because those CBs you posted have nice grades doesn't mean they will be the difference makers that this defense needs. The top CBs in the league who are true difference makers (Revis, Bailey, Woodson) were all top 15 picks.

Again, team sport. Our "team" sucks. We need many picks and depth. Same as last year.

This is why I was against drafting anyone in the top slot last season. We need depth and help at a lot of positions. I was all for trading down last year and that remains the same this year.

For a team that needs so much help, we have no third rounder.

Yeah, I think that would be a smart move on our part especially if we miss out on Kalil and Mo. But it's not always easy.

Woah, didn't see this post. I have no idea what these "analysts" are saying but from I have seen, Claiborne is a better CB than Peterson. He possesses better pure coverage skills. Isn't that the number one thing you have to look for when looking at a CB? Peterson is just a better athlete.

Mo is also a ball hawk.

this weekend will end most of the college football season until bowl games a month from now.

Much film will be viewed and more info forthcoming. The "experts" will have no games to watch so it is film and evaluation time. We will start hearing much more by mid Dec.

Address the front 7. Get pressure on the QB and our Secondary instantaneously looks better. Address the CB position. Add very legitimate potential to it-but don't waste a 1st rounder on it. I could also list a handful of decent veteran CB's that should be available via Free Agency if you would like me to do that, also. Or, I could make mention of Hogan's potential. There are plenty of reasons that taking a CB in the first round is a wasted pick. Patrick Peterson went at 5 last year. We are currently sitting at 5. Is Morris Claiborne the prospect Peterson is? No.

Face it folks. We had our sexy pick last year. We aren't in line for another one this year. It's going to be a boring first round. Accept that. It's for the good of the franchise.

I also thinks Mo Claiborne will be better then Peterson Coverage wise in the NFL. Mo is an Overall better CB but the Athlete is Patrick Peterson. The only problem I have with Mo claiborne is that he needs to add more weight and tackle better. If we are picking 5 overall and he is there then we should take him. If we feel like we can trade down and add more picks and still be able to pick up Morris then that's a deal.
