Be a part of your kids' lives... Be involved... This will both give them some confidence and lead them away from sociopathic tendencies, as well as build a bond for them to be able to communicate with you if something is troubling them...

I used to get called gay all the time in middle school. Bullies aren't even creative anymore, everyone is just gay.

But anyways, it bothered me, but after a while I just joked along with it. Eventually, what would once affect me turned into a playful joke between me and the kids who were initially assholes.

I also got beat up by the black kids on the football/basketball teams 3 different times too, but it was fair enough. I enjoyed testing how far I could go f*cking with the black kids...

Anywheyz, the way to get around it is to go along with the jokes. If you're witty enough, you can turn a joke towards you into a laughing fest at the kid who tried to put you down.
