GASTONIA — Administrators at a Gaston County elementary school say they suspended a 9-year-old boy because he sexually harassed a teacher.

WSOC-TV reported that a letter shared by the boy’s mother says he has a history of using inappropriate language about other students. The woman says it’s the first time she’d heard that about her son.

The boy said he called a teacher “cute,” but the school says he used the word “fine.” Brookside Elementary School says the child’s comment amounts to sexual harassment.

The school’s letter said the boy had been warned for using racial slurs and other derogatory words to describe other students.

A school district spokeswoman would not comment, but says the district is investigating.

Sounds like overreaction..............

You never know in situations like this who is telling the truth... but if the school had never reported his "language" to his parents they are at fault.

What is the most silly about this is the "sexual harassment" by a kid this age. How in the hell is this harassment?

Is she "fine"? If so, the kid was just being honest.

No lie, this is how this situation would go if it were a male teacher and a female student:

Student: "you're so fine Mr. G."

Mr. G.: "well, thank you."

After that, it would be forgotten. Now, if he reports this and claims sexual harassment, he gets laughed out of the building. Nobody would call that sexual harassment. If it is a woman...oh lawd!

Too bad the school rescinded the punishment and apologized. Now this kid can harass his teacher and other women in the future knowing it's condoned.

and now the principal resigned. I still wanna see pic of teacher ;)

Shoulda got him on racial slurs and calling classmates names or something first. This just looks like an overreaction as a result.

Yep.

And if this is the first time the parent is hearing about it, then the school made a mistake. That's the first thing a teacher should do with a misbehaving child. And then, if the parent won't do anything, thats when the school has to.

    • See that's the thing what I saw in game 2 was so embarrassing id rather they could just forfeit
    • Are you arguing that his height deficiencies and footwork within the pocket have not been a present issue clearly seen on his game tape particularly in the games he struggled in? Because that's simply denying what everyone in this fanbase who have watched the games have seen. It's interesting how hardline BY fans here quickly and effortlessly pivot from whailing about being victimized to becoming the aggressor and hurling out allegations of bias and hatred. And at the end of the day while Bryce Young clearly improved significantly from the first two games of the season the reality of the situation is he still finished 42nd in yards per pass attempt behind Mac Jones and tied with Caleb Williams and 38th in passing yards per game behind the likes of Gardner Minshew Aidan O'Connell Drake Maye and Will Levis. Furthermore it took Bryce Young 23 games to surpass Panthers legend Kyle Allen's 13 games worth of passing yardage in 2019. So if your argument is he became a head and shoulders better passer over the course of the second half of the season the reality is we're still waiting to see that growth this season. And there is nothing controversial or vitriolic about saying so from the mind of a rational observer.
    • Cam regularly threw for less than 200 yards and nobody questioned he was elite. He averaged 219 yds per game for his career.  You seem to be way too hung up on yards as a stat.  By that definition Jameis Winston should have been MVP by now.
