Unbiased website. Newton vs Tebow

The need to exaggerate to prove that Cam is better than The Golden Calf of Bristol shows how close they really are.

You think if we got 3 points in the second half we would have won?

actually I do, yeah. I mean, we could still have lost, but a lot changes if Mare makes that kick... not the least of which was us not needing 8 points to tie. Again this is hypothetical, but our defense lives and dies by momentum. That missed FG was deflating. If we'd made it, we've got the lead and our defense would have had new life...

The Mare thing was a joke not really an excuse...it's true... I don't believe swapping kickers with Denver would make The Golden Calf of Bristol the under appreciated, but better QB. Give me a break.

The Golden Calf of Bristol simply isn't good enough when compared to Cam. The comparison is beyond idiotic. People see two QBs who can run and automatically group them together, dumb.

Timothy The Golden Calf of Bristol is simply more efficient than Cam Newton and puts his team in better position to win games.

show me where tim threads the needle???? i see him hit wideopen targets all the time.

then you overate his leadership....as if they only winning because he is playing now.

trent took over for tony banks and won, so is he better then tony banks.....is he the mvp of the team......NOPE!!! the ravens defense is and everbody who knows football will tell you that dude.

but just because it was trent, he doesnt get overhyped which is good because he didnt deserve it but if The Golden Calf of Bristol does HALF of what trent does. PEOPLE WILL SUCK HIS **** FOR ALL ETERNITY AND BOW DOWN TO WORSHIP HIM. he might become prominent like elvis, lol just another overa........wait i better stop!!!!

He might have been in the league longer but he's only 8-3 as a starter, 11 games. Cam is 4-9, 13 games.

The Golden Calf of Bristol had to learn 2 new offenses this offeseason while being 3rd on the depth chart with no OTAs or training camp to help him.

You ability to spin while making your case for or against whomever you want, while ignoring the facts is stunning.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has the luxury of having a team rally around him to help him minimize his weaknesses. If only the Panthers would learn how important it is not to over extent their QB and help him more by rallying around him. One can only imagine how many games this team could have won by now. And oh yes, the no one fears the Panthers defense.

In what categories is Tim more efficient than Cam as a quarterback? Keep in mind winning is more of a team stat. I don't give a poo about their teams. I am comparing individual players.

It really comes down to how you view wins. If you truley feel a player isn't good unless he wins and isn't bad unless he is losing than I guess you're right but there are hundreds of examples to prove you're wrong.

tbqh sometimes it's not that he has that luxury, but he is causing them to do it.

I do think The Golden Calf of Bristol gets a bit too much praise at times for the wins but he is playing well and he is inspiring his team mates.

As players, Tim is more efficient when it comes to passing for touchdowns I suppose, but they really aren't any more efficient when it comes to scoring with the ball in their hands, I think they would end up pretty close once you consider how much fewer TDs per rush Cam has.

Cam also converts more 1st downs than Tim by quite a bit. 33.4% of Cam's throws are first downs, only 18.8% of Tim's are. When rushing, it's an equally large disparity.

The Golden Calf of Bristol also has an old injury prone RB and 3 bum receivers and no tight end. Just for that you gotta give him credit. If The Golden Calf of Bristol had our offense I think his numbers would be quite a bit better than what they are.

    • Not really. It all depends upon perspective. You can draft quality OTs high every year. They have one of the lowest bust rates by position. DTs, less so, but good ones still come along at a regular clip. With WRs, it's simply best to draft one in the first round if you want a legit play maker. Moreover, WR is going to set you back more than OT or DT at really all statuses, meaning JAG receivers are going to make more than JAG OTs and DTs, and elite receivers will make substantially more than elite OTs or DTs. I would also argue that it's much harder to find a franchise level OT or DT that can have an altering impact upon the game. So, if you don't believe they can, you may as well wait for day 2 or 3. That's why sticking to your board is probably the wisest thing to do. If you're not committed that the value is there, then what are you doing? Lastly, I don't think you should necessarily draft in a vacuum, but you must look at each team from year to year. People want to make them the same, but they're different. You have to start over every year and identify where the strengths and weaknesses are. You can't say, "Well we drafted [so and so] last year or two years ago, so we'll just draft this this year." That's not realistic and it can be highly counterproductive, especially in light of the reason that you should be trying to use FA to set up the draft.
    • If you read through his stuff, he's had a raging hate-boner for the Carolina Panthers the likes of which would make many long-tenured Huddlers blush. Every win was "yeah but" and every loss was "see I told you so".
    • Let me preface this by saying I've read WalterFootball on and off for 20 years. That's an indictment on my decision-making, and it's more than fair to be questioned.  However, the days of reading what's become weak ragebait have drawn to a close after he re-graded the 2025 NFL Draft's first round. He gave T-Mac a C on draft night. What was his re-grade for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year?  Carolina Panthers: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona – C Grade One-Year Grade: C+ Grade Tetairoa McMillan won Offensive Rookie of the Year, but only by default after Emeka Egbuka vanished in the second half of the season. McMillan was good, and was certainly limited by Bryce Young’s mediocrity, but there are still concerns about his work ethic and passion for football. If he doesn’t progress in the coming years, we’ll know why. Original Write-up: Wow, our Panthers source did not pan out for once. Jalon Walker was heavy chalk to go here, but the Panthers decided to draft a No. 1 receiver instead. While this fills a need, I’m concerned with Tetairoa McMillan’s work ethic, which is something you never want to hear from a first-round prospect, especially one who is chosen in the top 10. Bryce Young needs this, and McMillan is talented, but will he give 100 percent at the next level? Also, what about the defense, which was the worst in the NFL last year? https://walterfootball.com/nfldraftgrades2025.php
